Was a nice run out & nice to meet some more tossers n ktm guys I'd've had a go no licence with me lol

I liked the nimbleness, and performance, and as has been said before, it's all higher up the rev range, so you have to wring its neck to get the benefit. The GS has torque down low, and feels smoother. There was quite a lot of fork dive on the R; obviously I'm used to the telelever, but having also owned bikes with conventional forks, I was surprised by the amount of dive. I was also surprised by the heat the bike generated, and my friend wondered if his had a heated seat!:P

To be honest, it was such a short ride (about 25 minutes), it wasn't enough of a chance to try the bike out properly. I'd always fancied having a go on one, but with no intention of buying didn't want to waste a dealers time. This was the perfect opportunity.:thumb

If I were to liken it to anything, I would say its like an 800GS on steroids and cocaine! That's not a bad thing.:D

You'll be pleased to know that for the time being, I'll stick with the GS!:D

I'd go along with most of what you say but am surprised about the fork dive as I've not found that at all - maybe the suspension was set up soft as standard settings are quite firm?

Is yours the R? I guess there's probably a thousand setting combinations for the suspension, so maybe a bit of time setting it up for me would be worthwhile.:thumb

Doubt it, as I was there last Sunday, and can only take so much of that place!:P
 
No problem boys! We'll be there about 1100 if anybody else is going. I'll be on my Super Enduro so easy to spot
