KTM Super Duke GT

My experience of KTM is that once the initial furore of a new model launch is done and dusted there are proper deals to be done (unlike WBM) - just look at what you can pick up 1050 / 1190/ 1290's for, especially as winter starts.

exactly.

when the SA came out, there was very limited supply, vague delivery dates and waiting lists. a couple of months later and there were two glued to the floor at my dealer. KTM seem really good at drumming up the hype for new models so everybody seems to want one. once the faithful have weighed in and bought, the others slink back to BMW and the offers kick in.

Good. That'll tie in nicely with the disposal of my current XR.

Look out, boys, I may become a regular in here.:eek::D

Please will somebody start unearthing some shit reviews for this bike, or I might be in real (and really expensive) trouble here.

My mate has just chopped his old superduke in for the 1290R he picked it up yesterday

I am looking forward to a go on it as currently it is the only thing that would tempt me away from the XR

Looks great, will no doubt go great but fook me it's expensive :(

Looks great, was really tempted when I sat on one at the NEC, but decided to go for the comfort of the 1290SA instead.
I have a Powerparts rear bag (meant for a Superduke) part number 613.1297.8000 which is an unwanted gift - I have tried it on my bike once, but it's not really what I want. It cost £95 plus delivery - yours for £60 posted if you're interested. :aidan

Thanks but I've already ordered the one as shown in the picture.

Much thought has gone into this bike;
Look at the adjustment on the bars... ( why don't BMW bother with this?) They are getting left behind.....

The front wheel height adjustment will be even easier to operate :D

I see that there's a new updated 1290SA coming out next year. Quite a few updates, and they're taking a few styling cues from the GT.;)
