KTM's Neck Brace for Off-road riders

KTM have shown at the Intermot their "prototype" neck brace for off-road riders. It will be used by all their factory riders, and shortly be available to all.

Looks interesting, and guess it'll work. Will the Dakar riders be wearing this already ???

I saw one a while back, think it was mcn, that had a similar brace but with a shock absorbing connecting rod going from the back of the helmet to the brace. I think the idea was to help brace your neck to prevent sudden twisting. Not seen it since?

I think that was the first concept which KTM and BMW were working on together.
