I hear good things about this Logis hotel, close to Dijon.

Dijon is roughly half way down the eastern side of France, near enoigh equidistant between Calais and Marseille. This makes it a pretty convenient place to stop.

It was less so when the tram was being installed.

Funny old world isn’t it ?

I believe the last Victorian era French tramways were decommissioned in Paris around 1980 as the mode of transport had become obsolete

Then from the early 90s lots of major cities started installing tramways :nenau

Had a bike weekend in Dijon with 2 other couples of friends a few weeks ago, in an Airbnb

Really liked Dijon, the center is splendid and the tram system is good for getting around

Definitely worth a visit (y)

agree

for those preferring a city centre hotel, just around the corner from the Palais des Ducs, then this hotel is good. Small, secure car park at rear accessed from a side street. Hotel des Ducs https://maps.app.goo.gl/jp4MVHLs9Mu5BCBXA

The nearby Trinidad cocktail bar had a "happy hour" selling mojitos for half price. We had quite a few before dinner.
