lack of heat from heated grips

GS1100, Running on a Hawker battery.: I have looked over old threads and can't seem to find anything on this but if there is one let me know.

There is a real lack of heat from the BMW heated grips on the bike.

I have tried the switch in both positions but luke warm is the word.

Had a go on someone elses and they were very toasty. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Mine seemed a bit weak (compared to honda ones) since I picked the bike up about ten days ago but I charged the battery up last night and they seem hotter today.........dont know whether its me or the charging made a difference or its just a coincidence

have the same problem on my 1100
when I got the bike the grips were almost to hot now luke warm too
have hawker battery as well
