Lakes Trip (first tour!)

A little late but thought I would finally load up some pics from a 4 day trip to the lake district with 3 friends. We had planned for a bigger group but as with most things, numbers soon dropped and we where left with just 4. 3 of us knew each other but the 4th was a friend of a friend, along for the ride so more the merrier!. We had finally decided on a suitable route that would hopefully be a good run but as we are from lincolnshire we decided to to go via Sherburn in Elmet, Tadcaster (lovely smell of beer being brewed!) Wetherby, Harrogate and then via Bolton Abbey, across the dales upto Hawes. I wanted to do the run over the dales as I have never been this way via bike and it looked a good selection of roads put to Hawes. I also wanted to do the Buttertubs pass while near Hawes. From here a straight run across via Sedbergh and Kendal to Ambleside. Once in the lakes we wanted to do all the passes as we had tried the previous year but with mechanical failure / rider falls / severe weather etc we missed a few. So we didi Wryness, Hardknott, Kirkstone, the struggle, Hollister and Whinlatter. Had a great few days with brill accommodation (Melrose Guest House in Ambleside) great company and good fun, not to mention the cracking roads. All in all a good trip for my first tour, not exactly round the world but enjoyed it non the less.

Don't know enduroAlexis but he overtook me, I recognised the bike, on the motorway a few weeks back!
