Lakes trip pics.

Just an idea guys, while out this morning i found a great pub right on top of the moors with camping and great facilitys, i enquired about a bike groups and was told more than welcome, no fires but you camp 20 meters away from the beer source. if any one fancys it i could lead a good ride around the derbishire and west yorkshire areas and then have a camp over at the pub.
Ok i know the sights wont be as good as the lakes but there are some stunning roads and views to take in, i was thinking starting in saddleworth working towards buxton, over to castleton, then ove to west yorkshire via ladybower and over holme moss before making our way back to the pub.
About 100 miles in all. if there is much intrest i will start a new thread and open the invite.
Also i was thinking of the sat and sun 17th/18th july
just an idea . let me know

Dakar them friggin lanterns are bad news for me mate. they tend to set things on fire , Lets play with them when i am off duty.

Tent pitch £5 a night with showers drying room bath etc etc etc

Sounds good to me - I'd be up for that :thumb2

Lanterns - oops - ordered a 10 pack a few hours ago for the weekend (seriously) :mmmm

Finally got round to chopping some of the video up, here one of us all tanking through some of the nice country roads in the Lakes - at the end of the vid I pull along-side Stretchamus :thumb2

Excuse the slight angle - I've since got a better mount - on the day it was shot, I could have swore the alignment was right. Ah well, at least we got footage.

Will post one more up soon which is much more lengthy and has Stevie73, Fireman, Stretch and everyone else in it.

Enjoy! :thumb2

Here's the second and final video - just finished editing it last night, this one is much longer that the previous one and features the like of those lunatics Stevie73, Stretchamus and Fireman - enjoy :thumb2

Britain's Best Drives

Anyone been watching the Richard Wilson series on BBC4?

Part 4 was on last night - The Lake District.

He drove from Keswick to Windermere then up to the Kirkstone Pass & on to Penrith.

50 miles.

Can't help think he missed quite a few good roads. :eek

Good video dD, tagged it as 'like' :)

Good man, cheers Tarry!

A bloody good weekend that - makes me a bit sad that we've the Great British Winter to come before there's a chance of anything like that in 2011.

..but we'll get there!

It was jim and i am looking forward to the next one. if i had my ticket i might of been intrested in the rifle but i cant be assed going to the shooting club for 6 months just to get sponsership for my licence. i have a bit of land but dont think 1/3 of an acre will cut the mustard.

Bummer - the AW would suit you down to the ground. Its lethally accurate. Imagine calling your company Accuracy International and your rifle not delivering the goods!

Long Live Malcolm Cooper.
