Not for the GTL as the handlebars sweep further back that the GT.

There is also a rumour that the GT bag is no longer available.

Bad Oberdorf and Home

Just below the Oberjoch Pass

is found Bad Oberdorf and the Hotel Hirsch.

We have become good friends with the owners and staff as we also stay here in the winter when skiing.

This is todays destination as we set off from Riva.

One last look back to the Lake before we hit the Autostrada.

The rote is to quickly go north across Austria before going across country from Garmish.

It's nice to get on the flowing fields of Bavaria

Ski lifts in summer

A quick beer in the new Panorama hotel in Oberjoch

before descending the pass.

The hotel has a huge basement which not only hosted the bike

but also is home to a family of Swifts

Borrowing the hotel's son's bike I had to make sure I had still got it in the legs by going back up the pass

So effectively ends our trip. We elect to spend more time in a place we love and pay for this by doing the 850km trip back to Rotterdam in one day. The bike makes this task easy (or as easy as any 9 hour journey is).

Excellent report and photos. Enjoyed reading it.

We really like the northern end of Lago di Garda and the countryside north uo to Merano and into Switzerland

I have an urge to revisit it now!!
