Fitted a Y piece and BB chip a few months ago and on my instructions with the chip it said to disconnect the lambda sensor.
Following discussion with Les and a few others it seemed conventional wisdom was that the Lambda sensor should be left connected. I intended to reconect it ages ago but only got round to it yesterday.
When running without the sensor connected there was no surging, increase in mid range and a decrease in fuel economy
As of yesterday the surging has returned and there is no marked difference in power delivery. Not gone through a full tank of fuel yet so I don't know how thats been affected but at the moment i feel like disconnecting the sensor again
I Know i should get it to a dyno to check things properly but just have'nt had the time .
Anyone else had a similar experiance?
