Most GSes have a lambda probe and there are constant discussions on fuelling, pipes, filters,Code plugs etc. But Lambda probes are seldom mentioned. These have a finite life and are often replaced on cars. The bike Mot does not test emissions therefore there must be quite a few bikes out there with dead or misreading probes. A friend recently replaced the one fitted to his R1200C to cure poor running. Has anyone else done so?
Alas the R12 was probably written off on Sunday and I had to pick him up from the Hospital in Oban on Wed. On the way back I was appalled by the frighteningly bad riding of a group of 4 oilhead and 2 airhead GSers....'kin Germans overtaking on blind bends.
not a plug but..we do new 4 wire Lambda probes (bare wires) for £20 as fitted to an R12 with bent telelever, forks and a hole punched in the front case! Adrian cracked a rib.
