I've had a little experience of this problem - just when light bulbs go. However, the warning popped up at the weekend and I'm baffled because I can't find the culpret!

All the external lights - heads, aux, tail and indicators are fine. The lights for the speedo and tacho are fine. What I can't remember is whether there is a bulb behind the LCD display and I haven't ridden at night to check. Putting my thumb over the light sensor brings on the speedo and tacho, but I can't tell if there is anything on the LCD.

I have not touched the electrics on the bike for a few months so I'm confident it's not something I've done.

All ideas/suggestions gratefully received!!

Aha! I changed this a couple of months ago (the last time I touched any wiring on the bike). I changed the standard bulb for an LED version supplied by our good friend Les of this parish.

Just so I am clear, does that error only come up with the pilot light? I''m sure I've had it when the aux bulbs have gone.

The canbus is a tricky bugger but had similar with lampR ended up that the canbus can alter the amount of voltage to a bulb hence can give the impression that all the bulbs are working correctly.

I changed my rear/brake bulb and all was well. So don't neccessarily believe all those bulbs are working correctly especially duel purpose ones.

LAMP-F means LAMP Front, so any of the front lights can cause this. I have seen it with high beam, low beam, and most commonly the parking light, or side light - whatever you want to call it. I haven't seen it with the Aux bulbs blowing, but I have yet to have one go ...:aidan

I had a LAMP-F problem using one of Les' LEDs lights, IRRC it was fixed by reversing the position of the bulb in its holder.
