Went down to the Blue Hills at St Agnes (Cornwall) on Saturday to watch the section of the Lands end rally. Noticed two 650 Daks had made it up ok. felt a bit odd asking around if anyone was a "tosser" Sure enough one was but although we did introduce ourselves I cant for the life of me remember who he is.. Said he would post pics on the site.

C'mon then:rob

Hi Pastyman, good to meet you at Bluehill's.
I'll try to do a report and pics tomorrow. Been asleep most of the weekend!!!:D

The other one was me, following in Mr Muz's expert wheeltracks!
I had never done the Lands End before, but it was brilliant fun.
Blue Hills was a little daunting to a novice who had never seen it before!!

Sir

Thank you for the compliment :bow

& thanks so much for guiding Jon & I through such a great event!! :bounce1

Thanks guys, nice to meet you both. First time Ive seen daks up there, great to see. Mind you there was also a nice original looking 80 g/s ( am I allowed to mention it on here) and he went up like it was a sunday bimble.
The cars later were a real treat though, Austin 7's, MG's and even a couple of 1920's Trojans, chain drive and all. A great day out for the spectators and by the sounds of it the participants too:thumb

Did you WIN :nenau:bow:clap

No not this year!!!! The sections were v slippery and I think I failed Felons Oak which was the very first one:(
We also had to do all the restarts that the smaller bikes did which made it pretty interesting.
Claimed a silver medal though as pretty sure I got through all the others ok.
Will try to get pics up asap but v busy in the shop at the mo:thumb2

Al last

Right Hopefully here are a few pics from the Lands end;

You don't know until the results come out.

Anyway, glad that all seemed to have enjoyed it and thanks for posting the pics.

Quite a few BMWs entered in this one - at least a couple of F650s and one XCountry. There was also an XChallenge in the entry list.

Cheers,

Ian.

How could I? If it's the same competitor I'm thinking of on the R80G/S, word has it he has an R32 (I think) airhead single under construction just for use in the MCC trials...
