Hi all,

A lady friend of mine is riding Lands End to John O'Groats tomorrow and then back the next day all in aid of a Cambodian orphanage another mutual friend runs.

They do great work and make a huge difference to so many lives. All the info is here:

Personally I think she's nuts :D , but as she's doing it on my bike....... I hope not too nuts!

I am sure she would appreciate any donation regardless of size.

As an aside, this trip was initially meant to be across the US but she was badly let down by a very big American Motorcycle manufacturer at the last minute!!!:mad::eek:

I think it's quite nice she's doing it on a GS :thumb2

4 of us did it in 2004... but only one way
I was dragged along by the boots by Lucy, Georgia and Gilly B (RIP)
but made it in the end
Glad to see she's doing it over 48 hours

Mad woman doing it both ways this time of the year but ..big respect

Best of luck to her, it's a long way, and a proper challenge to go both ways on consecutive days, hope she stays safe (and awake) the big test for me was when we got to the little roads and a sign said JOG 114 miles, i thought we were nearly there!!

but that last 114 miles are the some of the best coast roads ive ridden.... being buzzed by a black bat seagull on the way up... and seeing a rainbow disappearing into the sea on the way back down.. good times

Ah yes, they were nice roads, once i was past the sign, the rest was very nice.

Nice to see you on here again BTW seems like its been ages.

Huge challenge ! 60% in the dark ? Interesting on the Highland roads.

at least there wont be a huge amount of traffic.. if any

she managed to get to JOG in one go.......which in itself is a huge feat, and then broke the journey back into 2 parts.

A true hardcore GS'er if ever there was one!!!! :beerjug:
