Thanks chap

On a separate note - my brother is interested in following the event to take pictures at each of the trials. Is that allowed? I noticed a point in the notes saying that support vehicles specifically not allowed... Are the organisers gonna be okay with him turning up at each trial?

Re photographers

Mav

Support trucks [and vans and cars with trailers] are not allowed. However there is nothing to stop your brother or anybody going along as a member of the public to view sections and take photographs. Probably best not for him to physically follow you but rather to go direct to the most accessible and photogenic sections to wait for you eg Touring assembly special test, Bridgewater, Crackington, Warleggan and Blue Hills 2 IMHO.

If however he proposes to operate on a commercial basis [and I don't think he does], he might want to check things out with the Secretary to the Meeting first.

Thanks Keith - and you got it right, he's doing it to keep a record :thumb2

Can't find my bloody tax disc and the post office won't give me a new one as the existing one doesn't expire till the end of April!!! :blast

All sorted now - went in person to the DVLA office and the nice lady responded to being asked nicely and allowed me to buy a new tax disc :thumb2

Wreford's friggin genius road book holder

Take one Rymans plastic ring binder and cut it down to suit and then zip tie to the bar pad

Add a Rymans zip bag for easy access to the route card, I might change this to a smaller one

Load the edited and highlighted Roadbook double sided into sleeves

Benefits of using a ring binder is the speed to change to the next page - work still to do, think about an anti flap devices and maybe attach a head tourch to the GPS to illuminate.

Like I said friggin genius... I might change my mind when I'm picking pages out of the A39 gutter :-)

Mr Heath and Mr Robinson would be proud. :D At least yours is looking more or less finished. Mine is still in bits on my desk. My wheels aren't on the bike. The bike is filthy. So much to do and no time. See you all at the start. :thumb

Wheels with new tyres back on the bike, toolkit compiled and fitted to bike, found a place for a spare inner tube, and bike, by my standard, is relatively clean - 100 mile shakedown ride tomorrow.

Now just got to sort out the roadbook! :blast

Well that's the first half of the road book printed off. :eek

Thanks for the map refs, decided I may get a couple of sections in early over Exmoor rather than heading down to Blue Hills.
Maybe drive down to Crackington if I feel like staying up all night.
