Land's End Trial 2013

When we met up at the Texaco garage before Blue Hills, my friend (blue XT600) said that someone mentioned some event in Europe that you attended.

Do you remember, or have any details?

Hi,

If you mean me, perhaps your friend was referring to an early incarnation of one of Lois Pryce's and Austin Vince's events in the Pyrenees that I took part in. Details of their current events are here. Recommended.

Otherwise that's it, apart from a few independent trail riding trips in the Pyrenees and a couple of multi-day trials in France (on a trials bike, and not much like an MCC trial), also recommended.

Cheers,

Ian.

Thanks Ian,

It sounds like it. I'll pass on the info.

I'm thinking of getting a more suitable bike for these trials (for me). I've been bitten!

This thread gets a mention in the last MCC email

The BMW motorcycle forum Makes quite interesting reading. From the beginning of winding some newcomers up to having a go, through their experiences.
Ian640 who gets good press, is Ian Thompson our previous Bike PR person.
Full marks to him.

Results just came through this morning... and without trying to appear to smug, I got a Bronze!!!

I think I have some way to go to catch with Ian640 who got a Gold :bow

Excellent work, both of you.

I'm hoping not to get a 'did not finish' Anything higher than that and I'll be pleased.

I have to say getting a medal at first attempt and on a bike the size and weight of the HP2 is quite something :thumb2

Well done to all :clap

Cracking results...

... role on next year I want a medal

You don't have to wait until next year of course - regs for the Edinburgh Trial should be out in a few weeks.

If your airhead is a G/S I think it will be quite a competitive mount - lower and lighter I believe. I've also seen G/S's with trials tyres fitted.

Cheers,

Ian.
