New for this year is a change to the MCC regulations to allow bikes in class C (over 450cc) to use Continental TKC80 tyres.

Well I would have a GOLD as in 2007 did it on a 1150 will very little tred 2 mm and not a foot down had to sign a form at the start to say I`d take not prize as on wrong tyres. it was class O so theres no excuses now for anybody to get around on a GS

Guys EASY EASY on TK 80`s go for it, you`ll have a ball, you have to do BLUE HILLS 2 or just don`t bother with the rest.


another must, a small light off bars for map reading at night may be a tank/ map bag, plastasize the pages of the route and take a copy just in case you lose your route book.

Choc snacks and don`t over eat you will fall asleep.

Travel light credit card style, don`t cover your bike in luggage,

FWIW you win a class O medal in class O, and apparently it's made of real Cornish tin. Bronze, Silver, Gold awards are for the main trial and remember three Golds in one season (Exeter, Land's End and Edinburgh) equals a Triple award. Not easy, but I hope now easier than it was on a GS.

The sight of Blue Hills 2 at the end of the trial can be a bit scary, but the sense of achievement having climbed it takes some beating and tastes as good as the post-trial

The club's amended the tyre rules specially for riders of bigger trailbikes, most definitely including BMWs (be nice to see an HP2 on the hills). Still a few days left to enter.

In training, out for night rides and practicing backward somersaults, pumping up tires counting foot pump pumps from 10lb to 30lb and weeing in the dark.

An outfit won the only Triple awarded to a motorcycle last year. Now, to do likewise on a twin cylinder outfit....

O = NOVICE but with TKC`s on the Normal trail should be easy.

Class O starts from Bridport Rugby Club.
