I did a complete circuit of Lough Neagh today, tried to stick as closely to the shoreline as possible but it ain't easy.
Started clockwise in Antrim and managed to get as far as the M1 within sight of the lake. Detoured to Maghery, just because I haven't been there before, then back up the west side via Washing Bay, Castle Bay and thence to Ardboe. Picked up the shoreline again to Ballyronan where I had lunch at the Marina. Bit breezy
Also shared my sarnies with a mallard duck which had its wings on upside down. Weird.
Up to Toome then inland via Staffordstown, Randalstown and back into Antrim. Taking into account all the nadgery back roads, it was around 80 miles. The GS is great for exploring, isn't it?
