Sister has just bought a new samsung laptop.
It can see my wireless network and says its connected but there's no internet connection at all :nenau

I've done the troubleshoot bit and it says that the DNS server isn't responding.

Anyone have any advice please?

Look at the IP configuration in a machine that can connect to the wireless network and put the same settings in (except the IP address if it's not automatic, use a different last part of the address) on the new laptop.

Usually the DNS setting will be the local router address.

A simple often fix is reboot the router and once rebooted (un plugged switched on again) also re set wi fi settings on your lap top to locate-refresh your router / internet provider and in put the wireless key code again it works sometimes :beerjug:

Thanks :thumb2

I unticked the auto dns box a few times and now seems to be working...until next time
