Looking for a recommendation for a laptop to do 90% Office work (Outlook email etc) but also good for AutoCAD and Photoshop.
- Outright speed is not critical as it's only light CAD work
- Weight and portability are not too important either.

I was looking at a Dell XPS laptop for the good screen and graphics card (their workstations are overpriced)

Anyone got a good suggestion for around 800 quid (not inc VAT)?

Not sure if even a 15.4" widescreen would suffice for regular drawing work?

If you don't mind lugging it (or not using on battery) - consider a 17" one.

I use a 15.4" and have done some cad work on it, but wouldn't want to earn a living at it.

Battery not important so a 17" would be ideal.
Does a better video card in the gaming type laptops make any noticable difference for CAD or Photoshopping?
