laptop help

i'm working at a site where i'm having to use a lap top. it's a fujitsu siemens and it has a little touch pad for scrolling Trouble is it's right where your hand rests when your typing so the page is jumping up and down like a tosser on a pogo stick! can someone tell me how to disable the scroll thing b4 i chuck it out the window!

Check the mouse settings in the BIOS.
