Large aluminum topcase or Givi Maxia ?

Got original BMW aluminum topcase with my GSA, but the case is simply too small for my needs: two helmets (or one helmet and small profi camera bag), gloves, rains suit, small accessories...etc,etc.

Dissapointed that BMW do not produce two size od top-case, one this small that can fit spare tyres around, and one normal size 48-55 liters.

Personally, I preffer metal cases and just wondering is somebody can reccomend me some large 48-55 metal top-case that can fit on GSA, that looks similar to BMW metal panniers I plan to buy also.

In case there is no one, looks like Givi Maxia is best option. If anyone has Maxia on GSA, what I need to fit it - is standard pate enougjh or I need some dedicated rack ?

I like my Maxxia. (right size for a couple of helmets & sundry)

But I didn't do Morrocco with it... I'm confident the plastic would fatigue with all the thumping of extended off-tarmac travel. (I threw one away after a crash in Norway, caused fatigue failure (over a year later) in the bottom of it.

I did ride down and back with it though... great for travel as it whips off quickly, looks/carries like normal luggage, etc.

I like that it's light, considering how high it is on the bike.

Just some thoughts.

If you go to the Vendors of Innovations section, you will find a few suppliers of panniers and top boxes who will no doubt be able to make something to your specification.

I wanted alloy luggage with my new 1200 and looked into getting BMW alloy panniers with possibly a Givi topbox.
The problem is,that if you have this configuration the panniers will not open with the topbox in place.
In the end i went for a complete BMW alloy topbox and panniers as i could not find a configuration that would work.
Going to have to find a weatherproof lockable bag for the helmets.
