Laser Duo

I am considering putting on a Remus Duo System on my 04 GS this will be a full system.
I have a K&N filter on the bike at the moment, but have been told I need to put the original filter back in as this would not be good with the full Remus system.
Is this true?

Maybe so: The Engine management gubbins can only work within certain parameters.

Oh well looks like I got a brand new K&N filter shortly going up for sale!!
