Laser Exhaust - pipe clamp and bracket - HELP!?

Took the original exhaust off my bike - got a nice s/s Laser can.

I need an exhaust clamp to connect the Laser can onto the cats exit pipe at low level AND
I need to fabricate or buy a hanger strap for the can - the circumference of the exhaust is 396mm - no-one seems to have any for sale!

ANy ideas?

Not sure I want a steel U clamp on the exhaust...:( and that hanger strap - thought that would have been a doddle...
 
Have a look on eBay for a MIKALOR SUPRA exhaust clamp. Had the same trouble over the weekend. Remus can but the original exhaust clamp was too big. I measured the diameter of the new pipe and ordered the correct size. Hopefully it will work.

Will use for the lower joint connection with the cat pipe as that might be a tad too powerful for the ss case of the can to handle! The hanger point is offset from the vertical too.
Really ned one of those ss straps with the rubber protecter on. Just cant find one big enough. I'm amazed i cant find one.

Have called laser but they havent bothered calling me back at all.

Ahhh get you now. Yes the link above I'd use to clamp the two pipes together, not as the hanger. I thought you meant the 396c was of the connecting pipe....

For the Remus I got a 51mm - 55mm as the connecting pipe diameter was 52.8mm (so said the digital calipers). Best measure yours as I'm on an 1100GS.

Another option for the hanger. Get out to B&Q and buy yourself some 16mm x 2mm steel bar. Comes in 1m lengths. It's just about bendy enough to wrap around the pipe to make a bracket. Then get a sheet of rubber and place it between the pipe and bracket. Might cost you £5 all in.

hahahahahaha - brilliant - guess what website i'm lookign at now - jeeesus what a coincidence.
 
I only know as I had to make a bracket over the weekend to hang the Remus pipe. Luckily mine had 2 screw holes so I used those and a 20mm x 2mm steel bar from B&Q (a bit more rigid than the 16mm x 2mm).
