Hi all
The other day I asked what gps to get?? well I made up my mind, :clap
and told the girls i'd like a quest, to help I said its on E.Bay :) and for how much :) any one had probs with this model ??? :mmmm
Cheers Bill :beerjug:

The dixons group (Dixons PC world and a couple of other companies) were doing the Quest for £199, and that was when I bought one. I doubt there are any more on the shelves for that price, but I believe MotorWorld were doing it for £300 or so. Not so cheap, but still a saving on RRP. Best to do a quick search on the net.

No problems so far, but then again I have used/needed it much yet. If you want to get the best picture on how they perform, do a search within the GPS forum and see what threads come up, as the Quest is a common choice.

If you are looking to buy now, check the price difference between Quest and Quest 2. The newer version IS better

Go for the quest 2 ... still no m6 toll road though
Are the Quest 2 plans pre-loaded then? Just find it strange that the M6 toll road isn't shown, when it was on City Navigator V7 which I had about 10 months ago, when I still had the SPIII. :nenau

It may well be there, but with the attributes of a track and the south eastern end might not join onto the M6 / M42.

CN V6 was like this and sent Betty on a "off route recalculating" frenzy as you went on and off the M6 toll / A5 / and usefull looking local road. :)

Hi, Worthog
Thanks for that, just been on E bay, had a look there, and found a couple to bid on. So will tell my girls. Bill :bounce1

Don't buy anything from anyone in China - if it looks too good to be true, it is....

Hi Bill,
Bought our Quest last May and it didn't let us down on our maiden trip to the south of France in June.
It's very dependable and whenever I have had an issue with it it's been down to pilot error.
Highly recommend it.
Cheers
Steve

The Quest is all I can ever see me needing. I got a Dixons' cheapo and so far it's been great for getting me to work on time when there's been a traffic hold-up. It's taken me up single-track roads I'd never have thought of using with a map. Go for something dearer only if you're a serious traveller abroad IMHO.

Me too , but you can still be a serious traveller with a map AND without a GPS
