Any truth in the rumour that there will only be one GS model which you can adventurise? if you like............makes good financial sense.........as we have seen......... the bits that we really want are usually spread over two or more packages.
Heated grips, on board comp, ABS, ESC etc etc etc............or cough up a premium for the individual bits that you really want!

It seems to me that the width of the radiator means that the tank area has the width of the adventure model anyway. This approach would also make the sales figures look good since there would be no more arguments about whether it is valid to combine the sales of the GS and GSA to make it the best selling big bike.

The Ducati Multistrada is sold in three trim levels, the Triumph 800 is sold in two and there is rumour of a more 'Adventure' looking Explorer so BM will offer both a standard GS and about 12 months later a GSA as there is a demand for both.
