Anyone got or used this helmet. Looking for a flip up helmet and this seems to have some nice features. i like the anti mist mask (poser) and the flip down dark visor looks good, especially with low sun like today.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

It`s a superb helmet, and a life saver if you ride all year round,as the clear visor is double glazed and DOESN`T mist up..
The internal tinted sunvisor is very good too,and gives more eye coverage than some other ones which are rather narrow.
The lining pulls out easily for washing, and is a doddle to refit.

Don`t get too carried away about the face mask,as it`s uncomfortable and even with the filter lining it gets wet with condensation. Also, you end up with the outline of it pressed into your face for a considerable time after a decent length ride. Unless you`re a rubber fetishist, you`ll not use it a second time,as another downer is you`ll smell of rubber too....

The helmet is a little bit heavy, and always looks a bit big,due to the front part which houses the double glazed visor...also you get a TINY amount of distortion through it,but it`s not a problem.

The seatbelt style chinstrap tends to loosen regularly,so you have to check it every time you put it on.

I can vouch for the helmet`s safety....I had a crash in which I landed on the side of my Laser Revolution, then got dragged under my 1100GS,and the helmet stayed locked closed, plus, although it was severely gouged on the outside,I was okay apart from a red mark on my temple from the impact.

I rate it highly, and want to buy another one.

Everything wot Tarquin said. :thumb.

Like he says, just bin the jet mask - it's a waste of time.

I found mine loosened up after a while, and having bought what I thought was a perfect fit, it was too big after a couple of months, so when it needed replacing I bought one size smaller.

I would agree all thats been said, i'm on my 2nd one. The sun screen is a mixed blessing as i think it's not of high optical quality. Going against the sun it's easy to miss vehicles at junctions because the sun visor makes the shadows so dark. It's still a good feature tho' dont expect the quality of a black Arai visor. Also maybe a little noisy, but what are earplugs for.

Agree with the above. Buy a tight fitting one as the foam will adjust - I put mine on the other day cos I didn't have time to change visors on my Arai, it felt like two sizes too big after the Arai's snugness! The strap will work loose so keep checking it. It's a bit noisy as these flip up helmets tend to be. It never fogs up so the smelly rubber mask is redundant. The dark visor is great - it's only downside is when you ride in the wet with the dark visor up it gets a dirty line down the middle and it's a pain to clean between the two visors.

I got mine a couple of years back... when I wasn't into bikes! I use it in the Ginetta roadster. The pull down visor can make things a little too dark, and the foam does adjust to your head, mine too feels loose now, and I'm forever hitting the chin on my armour... (sounds better than saying shoulder pads). I purchased an Arai TourX in small, which makes my head feel like it's in a vice, then going back to the medium Lazer is like putting a bucket on!

On the subject of the rubber mask, I like it... Not that I'm into rubber or anything, but it really keeps the draft off my chin! Handy when it was about -5°C one November night discovering that the Ginetta doesn't like slippery Tarmac... wheel spin in third... and I wasn't even trying to do it... simply trying to get home. Lunacy on 4 wheels!
