LC - Akra Euro 3 vs Euro 4 differences?

Can anyone help please how do I tell the difference n should I be bothered?

Nothing to worry about many have Euro 3 Akras on Euro 4 bikes, its just the emission testing.

Euro 3 has the bolts for the baffles visible and removable. Euro 4 has them hidden under the carbon end cap so they are very hard to remove.

The obvious visual difference between the two is euro 3 has a one into two inlet and the euro 4 is a single inlet.

As mentioned you can remove the baffles on the euro 3 but not on euro 4. The rules state that if you attempt to remove the baffles it must cause permanent and irreparable damage to the exhaust.

I would not bother with the Euro-4 Akra.I have the Euro-3 Akra on my 2017 Euro-4 GS.Even with the baffles removed it is still on the quiet side...
If you want sound you need to get the Akra header pipe without cat but then it gets LOUD...
Don't ask me how I know...

I've got a BMW HP Titanium Akrapovic Euro 3 (Removable barrels) for sale. Its off my 2017 GSA Triple black. 8k miles, like new.
Not sure what its worth. Cost £900 from BMW

I have a Euro 3 Akra on my Euro 4 GSA. Wouldn’t bother with Euro 4 as you can’t remove the baffle — total waste of money.

I have the titanium BMW HP Akra Euro3 fitted to my 2018 GSA... for me, it’s just right! Rortier than the standard can, but still subtle and not an annoyance when doing long runs. If I didn’t already have one I’d be buying Onahi’s.

Yes, wish I could find a container load of things as easy to sell as an Akra can! Hope you don’t regret selling it.

Cheers for the replies, worked out I’ve bought myself a euro 3. Not fitted it yet as assume I need to declare to insurance so will do it on renewal if I can wait a couple of months.
