LC Akrapovic ?

Has anyone fitted the Akrapovic silencer to the LC ? If so your thoughts on any performance improvements, or is it just bling?

Yes I have. I've gone for the black Akro for my triple black. No performance gain but a deeper tone and a bit of popping and farting on the over run. They are a lot of money but it sounds the nuts.

Had one on my first RTLC, and its now on my new RT Iconic.
The Arkra is an excellent bit of kit. Very light (Titanium) and has a nice bark. Though maybe a bit too load without the DB killer in.
Cant say i've noticed any performance gains though.

Thanks for the advice everyone.. I bought one and fitted it this morning. It looks loads better than the origional and sounds much better with the decibel killer removed. Can't wait to get out and try it on the road. Also I bought it from a a company in the Black Forest in Germany and it worked out considerably cheaper than anywhere I could find in the UK, plus it only took 3 days to get here.

If you look on Ebay at the moment there is an ad for them by a company in Karlsruhe for just over £600. Not sure this is the place, but it is near the Black Forest.

I am passing there tomorrow I'm the car and very tempted myself!

I have one on mine too.

I agree with Yonkyo - looks WAY better than that huge lump of chrome and sounds WAY better too. No change at all to performance though.

I put the baffle back in mine - riding it all day without it made my head hurt!

I think the chrome one looks awful. Its one of the reasons I specced the SE up rather than go for an LE when I bought mine. I deliberately went for the SS one on my calista grey bike..I think it looks spot on…suits it down to the ground…and mine has a real growl to it..I don't like the look of the Akro at all, and I am a big fan of Akro on sports bikes....just my opinion…also for me it would have to have a significant power improvement to warrant the cost...
