I appreciate that this has most probably been covered before, but has anyone fitted the MRA Vario screen to the LC and if so, comments?

I fitted one to my GSA, it smoothed out the airflow immensely and I am very pleased with it.

It is quite small though, roughly the same size as the standard LC GSA screen (which I thought was a fair bit
smaller than the one on my old twin cam).

There are larger ones from other manufacturers on ebay but you would probably be wise to fit a bracing
kit as the adjusting mechanism may not be able to withstand the extra wind loading created by a larger screen.

I'm interested too. The MRA seems popular on other forums.
Overall I'm happy with the wind management on my R1200GS. But with over 15,000 miles anticipated this year , every little helps.

First extra I bought for my LC was an MRA Vario screen. Had one on my Varadero and this one is just as effective. Smooths out the airflow so less buffeting for rider and pillion. Also quieter. Easy to fit. 10 minutes for a numpty like me! Top marks.

Just ordered screen from Crescent at Verwood, free delivery and very helpful. Seems strange ordering from a Suzuki/KTM garage

Very happy with the Vario screen on my bike and I had one on my old bike as well. The spoiler makes a huge difference and acts like a much larger screen.

Old git .. thanks for posting.

I love watching the TMF videos. What a great guy !

How the heck he always remains polite and posts such nice replies...I don't know!
He seems like such a nice guy ... would like to have a beer with him one day !

I particularly liked his OCD in the screen video.... I'm with him 100% . Stuff has to be right !

Well I found The Missenden Flyer not my cup tea at all, he certainly has OCD, just look at his garage !

Its probably me as I couldn't put up with him and to be fair most of the people that make these instructive you tube videos. That doesn't detract from the fact the MRA Vario touring screen looks to be better than the Givi and "Norman Nippy" screens.

I may have missed how tall TMF is, he looks short, which can't help.

It could have been edited to be about 2 minutes long with a brief summary :-)

Dark tint far too black and opaque for me and i'm 6ft 3": I exchanged mine for light smoke( which is the one which first comes up in your link) with a light smoke sun screen which IMHO is perfect

Thanks for that, I will take your advice and ring Crescent on Monday and change to the smoke.

I hope you are tall because Puig makes MASSIVE screens. However, I only had one on my last bike and the screen bracket was simply up and down so not like the GS where it tilts backwards.

The MRA is perfect for me and I am 5'8"

Just been looking at the Puig on a friends bike and it looks good particularly for the money compared to others

I have just fitted the Puig touring in dark tint to my XR and it has improved the turbulence problem i was having due to being a short arse

Fitted my Ergo 2 screen yesterday.

Just been out and tested it.

Perfect for me, I am 6"3' with a 33' inside leg, I have the seat on the high setting and I wear an Arai Tour X 3, the wind hits just above the peak so if I lift my head slightly I get some good fresh air around my goggles. It appears to be quieter, it is a different shape at the bottom as well as the top, maybe that makes the difference. There is no buffeting and it was much better in the dirty air of cars on the motorway. It didn't wobble about too much so I won't bother with the optional screen support.

Hi Phillh,

Sorry to jump in on your thread but i was searching for somebody who had fitted the MRA Vario screen and saw your post!, i have a 2015 GSA and was wondering if you were still happy with it, this might seem like a daft statement but do you manage to look "over" your screen as opposed to through it (im 5`11``)? and have you noticed the screen wobbling any more?

Regards

John.
