LC Seat comfort ?? anyone got any suggestions

i took my 'up and back' Wunderlich bar risers off as they put more weight on your arse, dont rate them at all for the LC,

I struggle after a couple of long days between arse and having a pain between my shoulder blades. I've tried Rox risers to move the bars up and back but it's not helped. I think my legs are too long for the arse to peg distance but wondering if the solution is better seat to include raising arse a bit. Or lower pegs.

Previous bike was an 800GS with comfort seat and it fitted me perfectly. None of my current issues.

The seats on the tb GS are different to the ones on the tb GSA. I should know as have owned both. On the GS they were classed as comfort seats and were quite good. The seats on the GSA are much harder

I used to get that on my old bike because the bars were too high.

I'll be selling a Sargeant front seat later this week if you are interested. Let me know if you want any photos, I'll be back home on Wednesday evening.

Seats have something in common with helmets, what fits you won't necessarily fit me, even though we may (or may not) be of similar build and weight. Having owned Corbin, Sargent, OEM standard and OEM comfort gel seats my personal recommendation is for Corbin. I found the Sargent better than the OEM but too wide and firm.

I certainly would be trying to buy used aftermarket seats as they come up on here and selling what you don't like. Personally I found the GSA comfort seat pretty good but as a Corbin came up for sale a few weeks after I bought the GSA I snapped it up.

It rains 366 days a year here in the Westcountry, except in leap years when it rains for 367. Or so it seems. What do sheepskin riders do with their fleeces when the rain starts?

The Triple Black seat is very good, because the GS-T/B is actually fitted with the BMW Exclusive seat as standard fitment.

This is the part number for the standard height version. 77 34 8 552 146

However a low and an extra high exclusive version is also available.

This is the best seat that I have had on any GS/A-LC by far and this is my 4th LC but my first T/Blk.:thumb2

I purchased a BMW Exclusive seat hoping for an improvement and it turned out to be a $400 mistake just sitting on my shelf. It's the same shape and to me offers no, or very little, improvement over the stock seat.

leave them on I think as ive never seen a naked sheep so they must be ok :D

Hehe, fair one! Don't have to sit on the buggers for 200 miles though, eh?

Seriously, what do those riders who sit on a sheepskin pad do when it rains? Do you leave it at home for wet rides? Does it come off and go in the top box? Does it shed water and not become a soggy crotch sensation?

no idea to be honest but id say they stay on but id imagine they would get well soggy !!

Here's another vote for trying the seat in the upper position in front and the lower position at the rear. This sits you slightly further back in the wider, more comfortable part of the seat, and the pillion seat gives you a small back rest.

Ive moved the seat to the low at the rear but just noticed that the passenger seat is also adjustable for forward and rear position so ive put that on the forward position and it seems to give a sort of butt stop so will give that a try at the weekend will still but another seat though

Hi, I have BMW exclusive seats they are firmer and a better shape than standard, did 900 miles in 15 hours without problems. low front / normal rear i paid £550 for them, but never used them again... would take £400 if anyone is interested

I take mine off if it really pisses down, I also put it in my box over night too if I am away in wales ... you never know if the locals will try to mount it :D:D
