Lead extender for heated jacket

Hi, got a chilli heated waistcoat with the temp controller. It works great except the leads are a bit too short. I can plug into the power socket but it leaves the controller in no mans land. I want to be able to fasten the controller to somewhere with easy access.

So I want to make/buy an coiled lead with a male and female end to add to my existing lead. With me so far? Maplins could not help and the chilli people are away till next week. Going away in 4 weeks so would rather crack on with it.

Any help out there? I am not to clever with electrickery! I have added a pic to show what I have so far.

Don't fanny around with bits of cable and controls hanging all over the place - get someone to do a proper hardwiring job and mount the controller where you can access it.

It may cost you a few quid to get done, but, believe me, it's worth it.

Remind whoever does the job that the controller is polarity sensitive.

PS the other control which is piggy-backing the Chilli controller is a Bluetooth remote control for my mobile phone (again no wires to trip you up). However, it didn't like getting wet and is now removed.

I was hoping to put the control on the left side of the petrol tank so only need a short extended lead. I think!

Just cut the power line and add a bit more in, solder and shrink wrap the joints for a proper job. If you cant do it, surely you know somebody who owns a soldering iron, its a quick job!!!
