Leaking gearbox selector shaft

Hi all,

The gearbox selector shaft on my R80g/s is weeping oil, and probably has been for some time. When I bought the bike a few months ago it was totally covered in oil/crud/sh1te. I cleaned most of it off and did a service and now its apparent where the oil is coming from.
So the question is, can I change this seal without stripping the gearbox, or is it a gearbox out job? If its a gearbox out job I may aswell go the whole hog and do a full overhaul e.g. bearings, seals and circlip mod if necessary etc.

Bike has 75,000 km on it.

No need to take the gearbox out. Just change the seal next time you drain the oil.

As Rob says, just hook it out and push the new one in at next oil change
