leaky fork seal, mot failure?

Hi all, can anybody tell me if a leaky fork seal is an mot failure?:nenau
or is it an advisory

Leaking fail, light misting advisory. replace it or wipe it before you take it into mot station and see what happens, way back when the trick with leaking seals for skint flints was to pop off the dust seal and fill with toilet roll and pop dust seal back in :augie
 
The "forks" dont work as any normal telescopic suspension.
The seperate spring/damper takes care of that.
Steptoe did a guide to replacing a fork leg seal a while ago--try a search.

Steptoe's guide worked for me. Absolute Doddle:clap
 
It's a fail, if you must then wipe the fork and set the preload on full so it won't compress much and show fresh oil:augie
