So anyone interested? Give them a call, and sign in here.

Thats something I've always wanted to be able to do. However The one bike you shouldnt even attempt it on is an F650GS, by virtue of the 1st gear being quite high. Did try it on a mates bike, with his full knowledge and encouragement, but I just couldnt get it up FNARR FNARR,lol Did bet me 20quid I couldnt wheelie it, he was right

he said that even dumping the clutch at highish revs couldnt get the front wheel off the ground (well maybe a LITTLE bit)
BTW, dont attemnpt it on gravel..

Anyway wheelies are for the mechanically insensitive unless you're using a bike with oodles of power.

Cmon people somebody prove me wrong...

I used to be able to wheelie my gixxer 1000 off the throttle in second but not to a hieght where I could change gear and keep it there.
My KTM duke ii could wheelie in third off the throttle, geared down. that used to be a fun bike, got the GSA very light on the front in second yesterday with the mrs on the back but it did not come up off the ground.
I am no wheelie god by any means or form but would love to do that school or similar.

spike

£175 each, sounds a lot until you look at the big picture..
clutch plates, steering head bearings, chain and sprockets, not to mention the other abuse the bike gets and the golden syrup in the tank...
That is a good price to learn throttle control, just Don't do it on a public road because the police look at it as DANGERIOUS DRIVING, A possible prison sentence......

This to do the course on their bikes.... Right?

You can wheelie ANY bike with the correct technique. I used to wheelie my Honda PX50 moped

I did a wheelie school up here in North Yorkshire, something I'd wanted to do for ages. Similarly priced if I recall correctly. The school had a Bandit 600 and a Hornet 600 both fitted with anti-flip devices which got raised progressively as the day went on. I have to say it was the best fun I've had on a bike in years, but tiring. You will ache afterwards.

I think we know that, its the technique thats the tricky bit ;)

The beauty of a twin cam is the ability to hoist the front wheel in 2nd with no clutch

Best bike to wheelie ..... ???

...somebody elses :thumb

I'M OLD

never interested me especially watching you tube where the bike skates down the road rider with the no gloves and tea shirt sliding after it

i wouldn't think of trying it on my 1150gsa i'd be thinking about the strain on the drive shaft and gearbox diff unit
also worrying about the wife on the back
sorry if i'm boring the police love wheelie riders
driving/riding with undue care and attention
(how many Points) stay safe :beerjug:

As an ex motocrosser, I wheelied all the time on the track. I have never done so on the road. Life's too short.
