The Chinese CREE brand 15 Watt LED lamps available on the Fleabay from China and many other suppliers are fine and many bikers fit them 'cos of the pencil thick shaft of white light that they throw down the road, making the rider more visible in daylight and giving better road coverage in the dark.

But there are 2 problems. Most of them have a motherboard inside which cycles the lights between Bright, Dimmer and Flashing - not good. So that problem needs to be sorted so they are always Bright by putting a blob of solder across two contacts of one of the tiny ICs.

The other problem is attaching them to the forks of the bike without having to frig a horizontal support bar or mess with the Tupperware.

Here's a solution to the second problem, a pair of fork clamps specified for the Hardly Doesanything. But cheap and easy to mount.
