has anyone had the lights and are they any good

Brilliant you have to have dipped headlight for them to, work I prefer to running light anyway . Spots really increase your road presence ,

They are bright, bright and very bright.

Dealer said switch them on to be on but I am not convinced as the response above says, problem is there is no 'on' indicator.

But very bright. Did I say they are bright?

Yes, read that but it is confusing to an old bugger as two symbols need to be remembered.......the running lights and the spots but the spots will only work on dipped and not the running light.....pay attention at the back.....but the light sensor takes over in Munich........bloody hell why not just illuminate the switch?

Are you all talking about BMW genuine LED Aux lights?
I am thinking about getting some lights and not sure if I should go genuine.

What is the general recommendation on DIY installs. Bit of a DIY guy, but not sure if its as simple as plugging into a provided canbus plug?

Cheers

Just run it fused from the battery, via a relay triggered from the tail light. Or if you like DIY then install one of these as the base for all your future winter shed activity :thumby:

Running everything you DIY from a Fuzeblock means that if there is a problem that the dealer is blaming your electrics on you can just pull the trigger wire to disconnect everything.
