Has anybody fitted a led bulb on r1150r?is it an easy job to do it myself.do I need any spacers?greatful for any tips!

What bulb is it. Show us a picture. If I remember correctly there are 3 bulbs in that lamp unit. Does it look like the bulbs in there? If so it should be a straight swap. Some bulbs are different whit a big heat sink. JJH

Main beam bulb which is H4 bulb I guess.I tried to take off the silver ring off to check the bulbs but its stuck.

Presumably you mean the headlamp bulb, Markopolo. I plumped for an Osram Nightbreaker upgrade to the main lamp on my Honda - much brighter than the standard H4, much cheaper than an LED installation / conversion, with the only drawback being slightly shorter service life. But it transformed the forward lighting. Then again, I have twin CREE 10 watt LED spots on the crash-bars, cheapo Chinky ones, to make a triangle of light which makes me much more visible to oncoming dopey cagers who're busy texting their mum / applying their lipstick / doing their hair / chastising the kid in the back seat, etc., etc..

I'd say don't bother with led main light bulbs I fitted one each high and low beam whilst they are exceptionally bright to look at they do not give a good light quality on the road but they do pick up reflective surfaces better eg road signs. I've refitted extra bright halogens. I've kept the led in the side light as it's more noticeable for oncoming traffic.
