erm...
I have Led Headlamps and the Aux Fog lamps. While the lights are bright, i notice that on corners the light blanks out and narrows lower onto the road. Im quite perplexed. Even with the Aux lights on there is no respite. I almost ran off the road on one night as i couldn't see shit while winding long corners or short sudden corners, thanks to the GSW flick ability i didn't run off the road. Has anyone had this issue or am i . Also the Led high beam spot is low, can these be adjusted to higher and lower the beams?

Now, I'm considering adding Baja Designs Squadron Pro 4300x2 lumens light kit and Clearwater Darla 2000lumens x2 for the Fork mounts with Amber lens. What i am worried about is another set of Led's which might behave the same way. So I am thinking if i should simply just go for halogen fog and driving lamps instead of the led stuff, one pair on the crash bars above the Aux fog lamps and another on the fork legs to make up for the conventional spread and depth that is offered by regular halogen headlamps. Or would the Squadron Pro and Darla work fine and help the cornering issues? I am considering led's as they consume less power (but my selection above nearly equals to the halogens but they are several times bright).

And the stock battery is 12 ah would it support so many lights be it led or conventional? Has anyone upgraded to higher ah batteries aka li-on/li-po? If so what ah is acceptable to the bike's canbus?

I ride 70% of my time at night to and from work. The lights are brilliant. I have a lot of unlit country roads to drive through too.
Have you adjusted them? It doesn't sound like you have.
Turn the headlight adjuster until you are happy with the throw.

I've not had that problem - on the contrary, I find the led headlight and foglight combination excellent ( after careful setting up).

Spend a little time playing with he headlight adjustment - it makes a world of difference...

Before you blow $800 ( all that on the bike ?), I can give you voucher for a free eye test .

+1.:thumb The factory set them too low when they build the bikes.:rob

The standard set up seems pretty good on mine. If they're no better after some adjustment you could spend £300 on some extra lighting or just slow down when its dark! ;)

He he he! Thanks guys and enough of poking. The adjustment listed in the manual is apparently erroneous and a thread on the advrider forum has it sorted. Im sure most of you are on the advrider forum. I have registered on the forum and unable to login, must be ip blocked issue. Written to the admin and no response again could be a problem of ip. Would be great if one of you can contact the admin and sort it out for me. My username is advlust.

However you look at it, fog lamps on at night is a recipe for disaster unless they're on due to low visibility conditions i.e fog.

I take it though, you have adjusted your headlight now and all is well?

Yeah man! thanks. I should've just fettled about the adjuster without much ado or worry. The 'new' bike factor held me back i guess even for someone who fettles with bikes all the time. Raised the beam height and voila!! its a world of difference and i love the spread and visibility. I will take it out soon to check out how it fares on bends (I'm sure it will be great). Feel a bit like an idiot for not figuring it out simply by fettling the adjusters. Its so simple, the white flip type is a quick adjuster for the beam to lower and raise it, the screw is for raising and lowering it by a large margin.

You are right mate! To be used only when needed. May be a bit of an over kill but I am looking at Cyclops Long Range 10 deg for amber/fog application in any emergency or if the bmw aux lights fail.
