Has anyone fitted a H4 LED bulb into a GS or a PD? I am reluctant to just fit one incase of catastrophic results.

Yes, I have with a good result.
I will try to find the exact bulb model I used

I believe I used this Twenty20 compact LED which is no longer available.
I used Twenty20 because the reviews were extremely positive and the price very reasonable.

Yes, will have to look out the model, and where I got it from…
It was an improvement over the original, and no problems so far ( only been in two months)

Ordered the Twenty20 version after discussing the application with them.

If you want high quality ,road legal and MOT safe. You need to get Osram night breakers.

They are not cheap. You get what you pay for. But cheap ones are unreliable, illegal and antisocial.

Ledperf are excellent suppliers. The come from France in about a week. No extra fees.

I tried Philips 200st which get a better rating than the night breakers and they were disappointing. LED is the way to go and with the new technology the beam pattern is correct.

I was referring to the LED version.

I have them in my Africa Twin. I checked them on the MOT beam tester and they pass.

They are also much smaller than others so easy to fit in most bikes. And obviously the quality is what you'd expect from Osram.

They are superb. But at £110 for a pair, they're not the cheapest option.

My GS has been MOT'd twice with the Twenty20 bulb in, no issue.
I also don't get flashed by oncoming drivers and it has been completely reliable for nearly two years, in all weather.
At 1/4 the price of the Night Breaker, I'm content.

Interesting. I'm not convinced yet though. As an MOT tester myself I know that most other MOT testers don't bother to do a proper beam test.

I'm not saying they aren't legal. It just seems too good to be true at that price.

I might pick a set up and test them properly.

It would be great if I could offer a more affordable alternative to my customers than the osrams.

Another advocate for the Twenty20 bulb, in now for over 2 years. Now MOT exempt but passed with it in. Game changer with good beam pattern

Which version of the Twenty20 Bulb are you guys using?

Referring to anyone who has never had a problem with an MOT at a reputable test station.

I didn’t use a twenty /20 led.
Used one from classic car leds…

H4 fitted into gs headlight housing perfectly, better light projection than standard h4
Wasn’t too expensive . Don’t know if it’ll pass mot yet tho…..

That’s what I’ve got on mine - not had any problems with MOTs.

Fitted the Twenty20 LED tonight, so far very impressed. Beam cut off is clear and sharp so will see what it’s like when it gets dark.

That’s good to know…thanks
( I was wondering if I would have to put a standard lamp back in before the mot)….
