I have a 2006 GS on 56 plate, I want to replace the front indicators as one is damaged. I thought about a straight swap, but I like the newer LED ones. Brighter and look much more modern compared to my ones.

Done some searching, I think I need this adaptor loom for my bike:

Then it's just getting the LED indicators?

Is that correct?

Also is OEM still best? Any good alternatives?

Could not find any used on motorworks, how much are these from a dealer? Anyway of getting trade prices?

Thanks

I just changed the innards on mine to the 2008 led inserts and fitted the later clear lenses,

Ah, I see, I didn't have to do anything with the bikes wiring or fit any resistors when I did my upgrade, don't know if you'll need to with that type sorry

I might do same to my rear cluster as you did to yours, I think the front would benefit from the thinner style. Being 2006 year I think I need the adaptor loom :nenau:nenau:

Yes, that's the correct adaptor loom kit, which I used on my 57 plate GSA12; may be worth a look on e-bay or here....

I went with these as well, and they do look great & super bright...bought a 2nd hand complete set from Motorworks :D

So I would need the adaptor loom for my late 2007 model adventure??

Yes....my mate converted my rear light cluster & all indicators from original to LED on my 57 plate GSA 12 and the adaptor kit is def needed.

It's not a MU.......... it's the 2006 model but I read somewhere that the late 2007 where a bit of a "frankenstein" bike with some of the MU changes!!
(I know...... I'm clutching at straws)

Thanks :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Do they pop up often on motorworks? I could not see any, unless I'm blind.

Are they LED innards??

Yes, I think they were introduced in 2008 but could be wrong, much brighter than the old bulb ones, plus they look better with the clear lenses in my opinion.
