I’ve recently replaced the four lamps in the speedo & Rev counter with LED ones. (Not before time, as the originals were black, and two weren’t working………..) so I’m now thinking about replacing the ones in the telltale/warning display as well, as I expect they’ll be about the same age as the others, although hopefully with less use.

Has anyone done this? The more I look into this, the more confused I get!

RealOem shows the telltale unit having 3 x 3w lamps, and an unspecified number (6?) of 1.7w lamps.
The handbook lists 4w, T8/4 for the indicator repeaters and 3w, w10/3 for the rest. The holders all seem to be the same.

Which warnings are likely to have the higher wattage, and does it really matter? LED’s don’t seem to be available with different outputs anyway.

With a relatively unsophisticated wiring system, I can’t imagine that the use of LED’s will cause any problems, but does anybody know differently?

The only one to worry about is the charging light, as it's part of the charging circuit.
Keep that one as a filament bulb (at least 3W) the rest can be LED.
