Like a lot of riders who have fitted the LED pilot lamp to late bikes with Can-Bus i put up with "lampf" on the MFD....

But earlier this afternoon i noted the the centre diode was blinking on at off whilst the others remained constant.

Only had the bloody thing five minutes fitted it in October & she was parked up over winter... i wont be replacing it.

My OEM pilot bulb still going strong after four years and no LAMPF warnings.

Sometimes BuMW does seem to get it right.

It's to do with low battery voltage. I've a "special" LED that draws more power than the ones Wapping sold and it still occasionally gives LAMPF warning, and mine's the 05. When the main battery is slightly low but still fine to start engine the LED circuitry included with all the luxion/cray type LED's doesn't initiate properly (or fast enough).

...than the ones Wapping sold.....

What are you gibbering about?

I confess I sold you some bits for an Autocom headset (which I had to chase you for payment on after a couple of weeks, as you had been too busy to get round to it )...

...but LED's (of any sort) are not my bag, old boy.

Urm Les yes...

Can't remember anything about no Autocom headset!

This certainly isn't my problem.... the batts fully charged because the LED is "blinking" whilst the bike has Optimate plugged in...
I believe the LEDs are just of poor ... when you consider we are bombarded with bollocks over their longevity 10, 000hrs + ... it just isn't true.

In addition with most of them coming from China, you can understand why

The ones I have consume just under the same current as the stock bulb and I can tell for mine it's down to battery voltage. I know this because if I leave the bike for a while or do short runs the warning comes on.

Your optimate wont charge the battery as full as running the bike will. ;)
