I've just fitted an LED tail light bulb (not the the LED board, but the large circular bulb) to my 1150... and it lights up the dash warning triangle. Fit a normal bulb and it's off, the LED one back in and it's on... I'm baffled; any ideas..? :thumb2

You've got IBS. You need a resistor in there to make it think that the brake like is working.

As the LEDs draw a lot less current it thinks that the bulb has blown.

Now why didn't I think of that :blast

OK then, how do I do it

you could either fire off a message to 'techno' on this site who is an LED guru. Or simply pop down to Maplins and ask them for a resistor that will fool your IBS system into thinking that your LED is drawing the appropriate voltage/wattage (or whatever it is) a resistor is only pence.

I would start by asking 'techno' :thumb

Try looking ...

... on this thread, particularly posts 26 & 39. Although they're talking about a 1200 Canbus etc the solution should be the same.

Apologies for the grief, I've pm'd you a solution to that too :thumb2
