Found this on ebay for £25

Anyone been tempted. Is it as cheap and nasty as it looks? And why has the seller blurred out the logo on the bottom right?

I'm still waiting to see how much the official BMW one is going to be :eek:

There was another thread about a tail light on ebay, might have been this sort, which lacked resistors to keep the brake system happy, so the computer thought the bulb had gone and only allowed residual braking with no ABS,

Hi
A friend bought one of these for his F650GS (same light unit) on eBay and found it had no light for the number plate. I guess you get what you pay for. Be warned.

BMW tail light Approx £73 cheeper if you can get the dealer to give you discount. One other thing you need an extra wire connection from the old tail light to the LED one Genuine BMW again £16, you can't make this. I have had the tail light for the past two weeks and can't fit it because the connecting wire is on back order.

Just picked up on this thread. I have fitted one of these lights and it does have number plate illumination (a very similar light from a seller in Germany did not have no. plate light). Yes you do need to fit resistors to fool the canbus into thinking it still has bulbs fitted but this is very simple and they cost 40p each from Maplins. A hell of a lot cheaper than the BMW light - although I will concede that the BMW one looks better - but 3 x price!
