left hand cluster torx size ?

2014 GS LC

what size is the torx (pictured below)

its smaller than a 10 and bigger than a 5 so I am going to have to buy one

I have googled it and answers conflict between a 7 and a 9

my left cluster rocks slightly hence just confirming the torx are tight, is a little rock normal ? its a bit annoying.

I see 3 torx, is there another fastener in below where the wires enter ?

Hi,

My left hand cluster was rocking slightly and I found a torx screw on the top of the handlebar, just peel back the grip slightly next to the whizz wheel. pinched it up and all sorted.

I would never have found that

handlebar rock gone and it was a size 10 torx if anyone is curious.

is that a well known fix ? Am I just a bit slow at knowing as I'm sure loads of grips are loose

torx size for cluster, dont need to know anymore thanks but maybe someone else is looking

I too have a rocking switch assembly.
Maybe I’m clutching at straws here, but I don’t suppose a loose switch assembly would stop the heated grip working would it??

it was a size 10 torx if anyone is curious.

It's a t15 on the 1250 and suspect it's the same on the1200.

For the original screw size, my 14 is a T9

Some may already know, The switchgear is clipped to the wonderwheel if fitted then Clipped onto the grip,
The small bolt behind the grip passes through the handlebar into a nut on the back,
There can be slight movement as the switches dont clamp on the left bar like standard japanese etc do,

I seem to recall that the grip heat is connected by a separate connector inside the switchgear. The rocking motion MAY have made the connector come loose, but I wouldn't be too optemistic.
