Left hand side of instrumentation failed

Friend has a R1150GSA and the left side of the instrument cluster ( oil temp etc ) has failed. Was working yesterday but duff now !!
Is this a common problem? Anyone know of the fix ?

I could really impress him that I know something about GSA's !

I would doubt that you carry out any repairs to this kind of kit, unless anyone knows otherwise ?

... what I meant to say was.... the left-hand instrument panel (shows petrol level, clock, gear indicator and oil temp)
no longer functioning but was working fine until today.
Must be a loose wire or ( anyone know ) a fuse etc. he lives London village so just asking around for him.

It's probably broken .

Try cleaning the connector behind the long panel on the RHS of the bike. It supplies the power to this instruments and corrodes quite easily.

There was a thread on this here with a few other suggestions. Twelve years ago

Twelve years ago .... blimey back then, in Rome, 25 European heads of state signed a Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. Also, Arabic news network, Al Jazeera broadcast an excerpt from a video of Os ama bin La den in which the terrorist leader first admits direct responsibility for the September 11, 2001 attacks and references the 2004 U.S. presidential election !!
