Hi all,

Just wanted some advice as I placed my order today for a new f800gs and will be getting it on 4th Nov.

I want to fit some crash bars onto it, but being 6'4 I was wondering if I will be able to fit my knees in comfortably without them hitting into the crash bars on braking etc or my knees having to stick out to avoid them whilst riding.

I have read nearly all the thread (350 plus posts:eek: on popular threads) and whilst now convinced I want the ADV spec crash bars I'm still unsure of the legroom issues

Any help would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Josh

If I hunker down into 'racing' style riding. Yes, my knees will be resting on the bars. If the vibrations become an annoyance, I'd use some pipe lagging with black gaffa tape to cushion this feeling. It personally hasn't annoyed me enough to move from idea into reality.

Sitting up nice & straight I've loads of clearance. You could always consider a higher seat.
