Yup, it's bloomin expensive but, with 50 mile range and up to 50mph, you could easily rip every trail on the Quantocks, or Exmoor, or Dartmoor in a day.
I've got retirement approaching in a few years and the uphill bits on the mountainbike get harder every year. I'm thinking, 'fling one of these in the back of the car/van, drive to where the trails are, have a rollicking good time and drive home again'.
I reckon that, if it continues to be developed, it'll only improve in the next few years, be tried and trusted and may even have come down in price!

I'm thinking as an electric bicycle it's illegal in the UK as we have a 12mph limit IIRC, and if you can pass it off as an electric motorcycle it will still be illegal to ride on restricted byways etc.

Its only USD 9,900

That's about the same price as an old airhead and at 50 mph about the same speed. Difference is, the electric bike comes with working brakes.
