Les Wassall's lights

Les's fogs

Fitted a pair of les's fogs over xmas on a 1200gsa. Other road users only flash me when I've got the wife on the back!
Fitted mine with a migsel, and before anyone asks I havnt got around to taking any pictures yet. They're great!
A big thanks to Les and all you guys on the site who've written articles on this topic. Couldnt have done it without you :bounce1

I have my light set and get no flashes, if they are in the right position and the suspension is set right then no problems, if you leave them high or have the suspension set soft then when you give it some the lights will raise and you will get flashed.

But if the standard lights were set wrong you would get flashed, maybe not as much though :thumb

Hi Les,

I seem to get flashed quite alot, how do you adjust the head light ?

Cheers

Ty

Any HID/xenon headlight must be adjusted to 10% below normal settings. I am sure it is in any motor manual under "headlight adjustment"

Big knurled knob behind the headlight near the centre. Turn one way it goes up, turn the other way it goes down. :rtfm :)

Just want to add my tuppence-worth of praise to the HID50 kit. My Boss (ChrisM) brought one last week and I followed suit- easy installation- very clear instructions and amazing result. I’ve had no flashes as; I adjusted the light before I moved off- Chris having warned me about the slightly higher aspect. What needs to be understood is that the HID gives a brilliant white light-with a 20% increase in side-spread and in actual increase in LUX level- I can’t guess but Id estimate it’s 3-4 times brighter. I only did the dipped and now the main and sides now look yellow- so I’ve asked Les to see if the Wundelichs can have HID's fitted- as they are shallow in depth and the HID Burners are quite a bit longer than a normal halogen.
Fitting HID's is a bit of an odd one as to the law- technically- they are lower power consumption, even though in practice their light output is far greater that a standard set-up but in order not to attract the unwanted attention of a plod then its important not to dazzle oncoming traffic or sit at the lights burning a hole in the driver in fronts retina....

Another :thumb2 from me for Les's HiD's

Ordered Tuesday from Les, who was very helpful and patient despite my many dumb questions, arrived today and fitted this evening in 1 hour. (ish). The difference is amazing, I can finally see where I'm going and more importantly, I can be seen :) The fitting instructions supplied are very clear.

If your thinking about it, do it. It's the best money I've spent on the bike so far.

Thanks Les.
