never forget back in the early '80's............

going up North that brae from Dunniker traffic lights coming straight overhead was a Lysander. I stopped the van and stood an watched it fly across the Forth. Never forget that followed its line right over Kirkcaldy and over the Forth magic.

A Red Arrow plane crashed today at Bournemouth Air Festival - Pilot was pulled from wreckage but I don't know if he is OK, hope he is.

Looks like he has dies as a result of his injuries

I've seen these guys numerous times and always very impressive.

The MOD have confirmed the death of Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging of the Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team. Very sad news for his wife and colleagues and a reminder of the real cost of flying military aircraft at at time when so many are focused on the financial costs.

I've seen a very large military transport flying around here recently - High wing (drooping, i.e. with anhedral), four turbofans and the tailplane on top of the fin. . .

Any ideas, I'm letting my Aircraft Recognition slip I'm afraid ??

Its quite quiet - in a deep thunderous sort of way - I can feel it coming before it appears over the trees

watched a................

microlight followed in formation by a high wing mono to starboard an a biplane to port.
Crossing the eden estuary the biplane did a wing over to starboard and formated behind and above the highwinger till past Leuchars then the biplane chased the micro followed by the highwinger,all going in a Blairgowrie-ish direction.
This all happened at 15:10 this afternoon
